Since Brent played as a true Freshmen last year, maybe he wants to use his Redshirt Year?

Some JUCO's let Div I-A transfer USE their redshirts at JUCO...so they can have an extra year of eligibility at a Div I-A program (JUCO gets extra pub...even if a player only plays there one year...but attends class for 2...or doesn't even play...they still get "pub" for being helpful).

Just a wild guess.

Well, I know he was interested in UCF at some point but Tennessee wouldn't release him for us cause we play them within the time Shaeffer would be here.

Now that he went elsewhere, he could go to UCF.  I think we could use a new QB.

He was interested in us too, but said no when he heard we were getting Gregory :  as if that would have been his competition.  He didn't want to compete with a coach's son, even though that coach's son is like 5th on the depth chart behind Julmiste/Denson/Hill/Grothe/Severino  :  Heck, even Amarri Jackson might be higher

Its amazing how fast he fell out of favor there.  He won the starting job as a true freshman... and then is practically run out of town.

I am almost positive I read somewhere that he played in a game.  And played well.
