  • TBP Ticker

Hi Guest,

In our efforts to raise funds for USF Football, the site is giving away a football season full of ad-free surfing at The Bulls Pen.

Would you consider buying a ticket or two to the raffle that will award this to you or a fellow member of the board?

Each ticket purchase goes directly to our effort to raise $10K in "fan money" for the program.  Below is the link:

Thank you,

Keys To The Game

Recommended Posts

I think it is important for us to get an early TD to gain some confidence.

Other than that, receivers cannot drop the ball, must keep penalties to a minimum ("only" had 9 last week) and defense must stay focused and tackle all game long. Especially, in meaningful situations (like every 3rd and long).

Pretty simple concepts, but we haven't been able to do it for 4 quarters in just about any game under this coaching staff.

My feeling is we need to be up by at least a couple of scores midway through the 4th. If it comes down to a close game and we have to rely on coaching decisions I have little confidence at this point that we will make good game management decisions in a close game

-Run the football successfully. This will open up the offense and take the pressure off of the Blake

-Tech is probably the best secondary we will face this season. Blake has to go through his progressions and not only lock onto guys. Tech will make him pay if he does.

-Norman and Atterbury need to have a bounce back game after their abysmal performances last week. If we can't give Blake time we're going to be way behind the chains all day

-Stop the run. Tech isn't built to pass the football so they will try to run it with backs and QBs. We should be spy their QB's too as they are more dangerous running than throwing.

-Get ahead early. This team needs some confidence in the worst way. We need to get up early to prevent "here we go again syndrome" from setting in

This would only take one big play at any point in the game.

Move past the 50 yard line in the first half would be a good start.

Seriously...just move the ball get firstdowns and we need to run the ball much better.

If we SCORE any points  it will be an improvement.I will say it because no one else will catch a football and hope the offensive line can make more time to pass and open up any lanes to run in.

I think ANY touchdown would be nice. Let’s not get greedy.

Get an entirely new coaching staff and implement systems that have a prayer of being successful here

1, Try taking the ball past mid field before the half.

2, Score more often than a Hooker in Manhattan in a bull market.

3, Score more points then the opposing team.
