  • TBP Ticker

Hi Guest,

In our efforts to raise funds for USF Football, the site is giving away a football season full of ad-free surfing at The Bulls Pen.

Would you consider buying a ticket or two to the raffle that will award this to you or a fellow member of the board?

Each ticket purchase goes directly to our effort to raise $10K in "fan money" for the program.  Below is the link:

Thank you,

Observations after rewatching first quarter

Recommended Posts

1. Mike Hampton got beat on the regular and/or was out of position.

2.  Wilcox missed blocks.

3.  Atterbury is slow and should not be a Tackle but if he is the best we got we are in trouble. May need to switch him and Norman.

3. Brad Cecil is still growing. Unfair to him to be playing so early. It will help next year but physically is not there yet.

4. Kegler and Pinkney are back ups and not starting FBS tackles. Strength condition coach is a dud or the other teams are using performance enhancing drugs and clean cut Charlie is lagging behind.

5.  Receivers dropping balls inexcusable.

6. Blake cant make reads. He did make some nice throws to his FIRST read.

7. We were competitive until the Sack interception. Then all the wheels fell off.

8.   KJ sails failed twice on punt returns to fair catch and put us in bad situations.

9. While are we still undersized if we spent all that time in the weight room again?

10. Offensive scheme did not look bad but execution was a problem. Its like everyone forgot their jobs and blocking assignments.  Half back toss was a joke.

11. How much of a factor losing Ford 5 minutes before kick off played and the storm (worrying about family members) played a roll we will never know.

12. Rain that night made it cool and humidity and heat were a non factor in this game.

13. This game was the "Perfect Storm" of Murphys Law:  No humidity,  Storm coming, no Ford, playing a running team,  Dropped balls.  We faced adversity and we lost.

This is very well done sir! 👏

“Adversity” lol. I hate when teams use this word. You executed poorly and lost.

Receivers dropped balls and Barnett was forcing passes instead of taking what the defense gave him.

It looks like the whole offense just needs more reps. The system isn’t yet reflex or habit, which is where it needs to be to execute at a high level. That reflex only comes with lots and lots of reps.

We are a small team compared to most of the big 10 and SEC teams yes. PED use, maybe, more like certainty that some (many) NCAA athletes experiment with PEDs. That said, the blue chips get to pick the top .1% of the population and the top .1% in sheer size is apart of that. We will never have such massive size even with all of the PED use in the world because most of it is genetic frame, PEDS don’t make you taller. We just cannot recruit them consistently because they are rare in Florida.

I had a lot of reflex after only seeing it once and I certainly don't need any reps. :GoBulls:  :icon_drink:

The litany of excuses would probably be a bit more tolerable if we weren’t a year deep into being unprepared. Every person faces difficulties in life and you don’t just get to throw your hands up and say well it would have all worked if not for a,b,c,d. If you system is so fragile that it can only work in a vacuum then it’s a bad system and that it can’t operate in the real world is it’s design flaw. CWT brought out hydration as an excuse this week, I bet CCS is jealous that he didn’t go to that well first.

Left at least 50 yards on the field in the 1st quarter.

50 yards that could have kept us on the field and maybe kept us in the game. Never know what momentum and confidence can do for you.

Friday night curse bro.

ESPN curse.

Whatever it is, it definitely feels like a curse.
