This is not to suggest that there aren't a number of good players that come out nationally, but consider this.

UF v. UM ...THAT was a wash.

Osu and Fau... a drubbing

FSU V. BOISE.

UCF V. FAMU... THE EQUIVALENT OF US PLAYING WISCONSIN.

UF IS RANKED 8 AND DID NOT LOOK GOOD. THEY  GET THE CREAM OF THE CROP IN REGARDS TO FLORIDA HS PLAYERS ALONG WITH UM AND FSU.

ALL THE THREE MAJORS WILL NOT BE ON TITLE CONTENTION IN THEIR CONFERENCE AND PROBABLY THEIR DIVISIONS. LOOK AT THE LAST 5 YEARS OF EACH PROGRAM.

C WENT OUT OF THR STATE TO GET QBS AND GET SOME KEY PLAYERS.

WE HAD A BAYMADE CAMPAIGN AND CAN'T BEAT OURSELVES.

THIS BOARD HAS TALKED ABOUT HOW BAD THE FLA. HS LINE PLAY IS. IT'S EVIDENT AT ALL THE MAJOR SCHOOLS IN THE STATE.

DOES THE STAFF NEED TO GO OUT OF STATE TO FIND INTERIOR LINEMEN AND SELL THE IDEA OF FLORIDA SPEED FOR SKILLED POSITIONS?

yeah it's terrible....Florida only ranks 1st in blue chip recruits for the last 7 years. over 15% of the blue chips came out of this state.

Here’s the distribution for the top 15 states in the last seven classes combined, going back to 2013.

The best blue-chip talent states from 2013-19

State Blue-chips, 2013-19 National share
Florida 337 15.3%
Texas 321 14.6%
California 295 13.4%
Georgia 221 10.0%
Ohio 104 4.7%
Louisiana 101 4.6%
Alabama 83 3.8%
North Carolina 78 3.5%
Virginia 72 3.3%
Tennessee 67 3.0%
Pennsylvania 60 2.7%

But seriously Florida is unquestionably a Top 3 state. Your argument misses a how Bama, Clemson Ohio State, Georgia etc all come in and pull top talented out of of the state. Using just the Florida schools ignores this and makes your data woefully incomplete.

Even more impressive when you you consider the number of kids playing in the states. Florida has about half as many high school football players as California and Texas has about 4 times as many.

The talent per player capita down here is just absurd.

We saw more of the Florida talent state in the state in the 80's and 90's when the big three programs also had good coaches to match with that talent.  The big three dominated during this time.

The top schools and outside programs take the top HS Florida talent.  That leaves UCF, USF, FIU and FAU to fight over rest.  Not to say you cant build a good team with those players if you have a good coach.

The one area that is the hardest to build is the O-line and maybe interior of the D-line with just Florida players.  There are not alot of 300+ lb DT that are speedy to go around and top O-line players.  So you build a team based around a fast dual threat QB.  Build the defense around being aggressive and speedy....the speed = lighter so doesn't do well vs a power run team with big o-line.

You’ve answered the question for yourself. There’s two issues, but one issue is taboo in today’s PC society to discuss because we’ve become soft as parents.

1. The head coaching in Florida is sub-par. The talent is there, however coaching the talent is the issue. Why? Read on...

2. Anyone want to place a percentage on how much of the three, four and five star talent in Florida come from single parent households? When many of these players in the state struggle to command the English language in its simplest form (listen to them speak or write), why would you expect them to become “yes-men” when they finally have an authority figure giving them direction at the college level? I can only imagine the time and money it takes the Alabama’s of the world to get these 5* individuals to pass college level classes.

When the G5 schools are taking the best of the rest, it’s no wonder they’re struggling. It’s been quite some time since I’ve seen someone as electric as Johnny Ford land on our campus - however there’s a 50/50 chance he’s a suspension issue waiting to happen because discipline wasn’t a focus when these kids were growing up coming through the ranks. Hoping Ford turns the corner, however we’ve seen this story play out too many times previously not in our favor.

I’m not sure what I expected with this title and this poster, but it managed to beat even my wildest expectations for its idiocracy.

How much could it cost for a tutor to take a test for a kid?  Can't be that much.

Some might say that applies to the college level as well
