I've been worried all week, even though it is only Wed, that this could happen again.  If 3 years in CCS loses this one.........

Relax. We won't lose this one. Even I picked USF in the contest.

It's my stone cold lock of the week!

Which two did he make worse when 2 of the 4 had better records when he left, 1 had a better record than the year before he got there, and the last one we don't know the answer to?

Why would we measure based on his best season and not his first season? He got to USF and took them from 3 wins to 2 and he got to FSU and turned them from 7 wins to 5. Sure he always left when he was up because no one wanted him when he was down. Everyone that said he only has a bad record because of his constant building all said that this would be the stop that showed us who CWT really was, so far they seem to be right.

I don't know. Why does a contractor always build from the ground up? Why not just start with the finished product?

A house has a definitive finish; what made CWT finished rebuilding? That he finally had a winning season and bolted?

Aren't we measuring Taggart on his complete body of work, not cherry picked seasons?

Your argument is strong enough with his overall record.

We’ll be rebuild ready when Strong is done here. Taggart’s bread and butter.

I chase PM's all over the State because they sometimes get offers from another company. Doesn't mean they were not good at building the project they started.

There argument is its not fair to measure him that way. It seems the only fair way to measure him is in the last season he was at a program before he moved on. Seems like a reasonable way to measure everyone, except when it isn't or doesn't fit your narrative. Overall record is only a fair way to measure every other coach but CWT is special because he is the only self appointed rebuild specialist.

It means they aren't particularly good at #finishingstrong which at some point people are going to want to see you do before they call you good at your job. Starting things and not finishing them is not typically seen as a great skill, and if you always stop at the only point where you did well as you stumbled and bumbled thru failure longer than the period you were successful for people may reasonably question just how overall good you are or if you are just capable of some waves of good with long doldrums of bad and your best skill may just be knowing the right time to bail.

When we fire Strong at the end of this season he will most likely have a winning record with us. That does not mean we fired a good coach.
