Based on the sample size of one where he only managed the most successful upstart of any program in college football history?

That’s awesome but we are no longer an upstart. Hiring this old man with a terrible temperament would do nothing...

Let's be clear, I DO NOT care whether he comes back as a head coach. That's another red herring by my boy @NewEnglandBull. I think the administration has to man up and make peace with the guy their predecessors sacrificed for their own selfish reasons. I don't want him to be a head coach here, he deserves better. Until the program and some of its fans stop lying to themselves and forgiving themselves (and predecessors) of past wrongdoing, there'll be a stain on this once proud and wildly successful program. First of all it’s not a red herring as my discussion was with Puc who supports his return (as do a few more on this board). Second, I have never said anything that diminishes his contribution in STARTING the program. It was excellent! A thing of beauty! My issue with CJL was once the program started to mature. Word on the street is FSU is going to make a play for him in the last, last ditch effort to bail out CWT again. Also I don’t know that I honestly believe CJL would, should or could save the ills that we created with his departure but what I think is undeniable is that he never should have left in the first place (reconciliations rarely go well in my experience, but it’s fun to dream). 1 hour ago, NewEnglandBull said: First of all it’s not a red herring as my discussion was with Puc who supports his return (as do a few more on this board).
