Boise has an identity and they’re loyal to it...USF on the other hand has no identity.

The tin men now have an identity thanks to Frost and they’re sticking to it.

How come we don't have an identity after Taggart?  There is something more deeply troubling at USF when it comes to athletics. No idea wtf it is.

The University as a whole has been too timid/cautious about investing in the program/athletics as a whole. There's a lot to hate about the guys to the east but their admin committed 100% to giving athletics what they need to succeed and invested in their programs.  They made some investments that seemed risky at the time but they have paid off in spades. UCF wasn't scared to push all their chips in while USF continues to fold to any raise and hopes to check it's way to winning the hand.  Scared money don't make money.  Hopefully the new leadership (Pres & AD) can change the culture over time.

I think this sums it up well.

the reason lower tier programs even began running spread offenses was because they couldn't compete with the big boys for pro style QBs and olines.

Taggart took Flowers who nobody in the country offered as a QB and Mack who almost nobody wanted as a RB and built a top 5 in the country offense.

Taggart wouldn't have been able to do it without Kinnan's help.

The talent was there and he just couldn't get it done.

Joe came in and brought the GCO and helped the lineman understand how to win being undersized.

He would have failed in Oregon and is failing at FSU.

no successful person in life has been able to do it without someones help at some point.

he did get it done. he designed the offense and called the plays.

Joe helped for sure but they didn't run what he ran in high school. it was a hybrid and taggart went to baylor, Clemson, etc to help them develop the offense. Finding people who have had success and learning from them is a trait successful people have.

he did not fail at oregon. he had a top 10 offense. just like he built here and just like he will do at FSU

Wait a minute.  Now Kinnan was coaching the offensive line and calling the plays and tailoring the offense when he was just a consultant and not an on field coach?

People stop it.

I won't say what this is, but everyone who is objective knows what it is.

I heard Kinnan also taught QF how to throw and Marlon Mack how to run. He also convinced Adams to transfer to USF.
