Saw an article in the TBT. This brings back some good USF memories.  There is a neon USF/Yuengling sign up for sale if anyone is interested.

I'd love it but I'm not driving to Tampa for it.

I used to go to the Lakeland location when I worked close to it.  It was sad that it closed due to fire.  Biggest, best chef's salad I've seen.

****, Peabody's and Dunderbak's are about the only things left from my USF days.  R.I.P. The Greenery, Tia's, CDB, Gladstones, The Brickhouse, Copper Top Pub etc

That was THE place to go when I was in high school in Pasco County.  We drove there frequently from the Dade City area.  When I arrived on campus as a freshman, I frequented more often.  Enjoyed the pizza at CDB’s and then the visit to Chapter 3 records.

Loved CDBs

That pic just became my computer background and I am getting a Yuenglings right now.  Moderation, My ass.  This is why you keep your fat clothes!  Party on, Brad!

I was a front house manager for a short stint in the mid 1990s...

Let me say this ... I am REALLY SURPRISED the health department did not shut it down.

For those familiar with the movie Joe's Apartment... let's just say CDBs made that apartment look squeaky clean.

True story ... I brought a pizza to a table, and watched as three ... THREE ... roaches fell from the ceiling smack in the middle as I was slicing it.

Reminds me of my time working at Alessi’s Bakery.  Iconic spot that people flocked to, but I could tell stories.

It is one reason I choose not to eat out much.  :)

Did you slice and serve them?

It was a family with two kids... both kids SCREAMED when they dropped... but I pulled the pizza quickly, ran back to the trash can in the kitchen and dumped it, then made a new pie - to go - and refunded them.  The owner was PISSED that I gave them a free pie after throwing another away.  I told him the building needed to be tented... he never tented it before he sold it.
