8 wins and 4 losses.

Right with you. Hopefully this will keep us out of the Florida bowl options.

Not what I think will happen but here is how it seems to happen based on mamy years a USF football fan.

We start off hot and win first 7 games but not impressive just enough to win...mostly due to lack of tackling and stupid penalties.

We are ranked as high as 15.

We lose on road vs a inspired ECU team.

Then we regroup and beat Temple.  Maybe this is the year?

Then we lose vs Memphis and Cincy.

We beat Ucf and we are happy.

But then UCF wins the conference.

We play a .500 Ole Miss team in Birmingham and win.

9 win season

Not my prediction but how it seems to play out based on the past.

I would consider this a decent season  because of the victory over ucf.  If a conference championship can't be won then a win over ucf is a must.  Charlie has never beaten ucf in 3 tries so this year's game is huge for him.

Yea it's not horrible. I'd like to see us actually win this stupid conference though. So if it means a team that loses early but gets better over season so be it.

Wow. He's been here 3 years already?  Seems like Willie's only been gone for 2.

He was 0-1 against them when he was at Louisville and he is 0-2 against them as our coach.

I'd say we pick up at least one win from the ECU, Memphis, and Cincy losses that are listed.

5-7. After the losses to Wisconsin and GT and a scare against our cupcake we never get rolling.

Not to be a doomsayer, but 4-8 is my honest prediction, with wins only over SC St, SMU, UConn, and ECU. BYU beat some decent teams last year including a few P5, rallied to win a bowl game, and hit their stride with their 3rd year coaching staff. Temple beat us last year. Neither is looking at a significant drop-off. I think we start 0-2 then gain a little steam with 3 cupcakes in a row, but BYU smacks us and Navy continues the skid. At that point, the locker room is likely lost similar to the back half of this past year. We will overcome ECU because they are pathetic, and individual talents alone will carry us past them. The later season games will likely look just like 2018's collapse; some losses won't even be close. CKB may be able to improve the offense enough to overcome Navy, who is rebuilding, and possibly but doubtfully Memphis and Temple. But CKB improvements won't be enough to overcome the weaknesses of CCS & CBJM, and teams are still going to run up the score on our hapless defense while CCS still won't have learned to keep the foot on the gas - he will still manage the game with a "avoid the loss" mindset and can't step on a throat. 7-5 is likely a best-case scenario, at least salvaging a bowl game. The coaching staff utterly lost the locker room last year during the 0-6 slide, and the fragile optimism to start this year won't take many beats before giving way altogether.

If this happens VPoA Kelly  will need to pull out the roladex because he’ll be looking for a new coach.  Unless the offense is rolling and the defense sucks again, he might elevate KB.
