I'm buying 2.  That will put us over the top.  But yes the beatdown by a stadium full of UCF fans doesn't help build a buzz.

Unfortunately, if we are going to fill the stadium we will have to do a large portion of it with the Tampa band wagon fans. In the magical 2007 year, we didn't have that many people at the Elon game. It wasn't until we beat Auburn that people started talking. By the time the WV game came around, the even the mayor was excited enough to call that Friday night USF green and gold day.

IF we could find a way to beat UW and GT, by the time BYU comes around those same band wagoners will come around to see what's going on at Ray Jay.

About 20 thousand of the seats at the WV game were filled by Mountaineer fans.

If the Elon game was right after the Auburn game...the attendance would have been about the same as it was.

Let's not forget that we'll have a large segment of the active student population not at the game: sororities.  Yet again they will not be able to attend the game due to their rules related to recruitment week.

Plus it's also Labor Day Weekend... and it doesn't mean as much down here... but it's really the last weekend before Thanksgiving for families to do any type of vacation.  (Up north, schools start AFTER Labor Day not three weeks before).
