From Christmas in August thread:

There is no longer the print option available for tickets. We will be sending information out, via e-mail, regarding how to transfer/sell tickets. Those receiving transferred tickets will use their smartphone to enter the stadium, as they will not have the option to print.

Brad,

Not sure. I get why they prefer the transfer option, then the recipient becomes a lead for USF to sell tickets to.

But, the material that came with the tickets said they can be printed. (according to a picture in this thread)

I guess the scalpers will be walking around with I-Pads and Tablets. This could put a real crimp in their "income."

Hey @John Lewis, what about parking passes? Will that be an e-ticket item also?

Parking is also able to be transferred.

The pass will be scanned upon entry this season.

You are right. Which has good and bad sides for USF.

Good - more walk up sales because there are less tickets in the parking lots for sale.

Bad - Season ticket holders who have last moment cancellations will now have a harder time getting rid of extra tickets (giving away or selling) - which may lower season ticket retention. (one big reason I used to hear for non-renewals, was "I hardly used my tickets")

Looks like that was just an error. Everywhere else the ticket options were presented, print was never mentioned.

The Lightning have been doing this for a few years now but there are always scalpers there with what looks like pdf copies of tix. Maybe after the tix are transferred they can be printed ....?
