That baseball team has been on WDAE for I believe around 20 years.  Why would our mid-major college football team bump them?

Correct, the Rays have had a long standing contract with WDAE.  It doesn't make any sense that we would get preferential treatment over the Rays.

Could not here it on the radio from the Sundome parking lot.  If you were not streaming, you were not listening.

It was marginal at best leaving the YC but the old school in me will miss that .... Good news is that by going the streaming route on the way home, I'll be able to hear most of the second half because of the delay.

“The entire process, putting together this partnership, was just a real pleasure,” said Chris Soechtig, market president for Tampa Bay iHeartMedia.

“Really, (USF’s) desire to become ingrained in the Tampa Bay community, it just became very, very obvious that this was a match made in heaven for all of our media.”

Now if the Tampa Bay are will become ingrained in USF.

Go Bulls!

A little scary that media outlets are just finding out we're interested in becoming ingrained in the community.  WTF was going on before this?

Some introverted and inward focused ADs?

I’ve been highly critical of Tampa’s leadership (public and private), residents and the community as a whole based on the lack of support for USF far beyond athletics. Butts in seats is an easy measurable.

The Bay Area reaps the financial benefits of USF, but doesn’t support the university or athletics.

We are way beyond the opponent on the field as an excuse for not showing up or supporting the teams.

“Bay Made, but not Bay Paid”.

Go Bulls!

Well they are about as relevant as we are in the big scheme of things so maybe just flip a coin...

Last time I checked, the Rays have at least one banner. So...not much of a contest as to who is more relevant.

They actually call that a pennant...does USF have one for its third place in the division title we scratch out every couple of years?

You’re preaching to the choir...I’ll take an Eastern Conf banner any day...probably the last year one of those is going to exist.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
