Wimbush is a 50% passer coming off a season where he threw 6 picks in 6 games to just 4 TDs. Barnett is a much better passer as he was able to complete 60% of his passes. He did throw 11 picks in 11 games but he also threw 12 TDs which is why he has a better passer rating and he ran for 8 TDs last season so its not like he is a peyton manning type of runner. BB>BW.

But to the point. UCF has the best G5 team to be in that game, I don't see it.

They are still loaded on offense and they are the two-time defending champions until someone takes them out. I am hoping Cincinnati can do that in October, when ucf has to play at their place on a Friday night nationally televised game.  Cincinnati is also loaded, and I can easily see them taking the AAC this season.

No...that cannot happen

Yes it can. If you don’t get the G5 bone the P5 tossed us then you get thrown into the AAC ****** bowl randomizer that has no particular seeding arrangement. It is very much possible even if you don’t think it’s plausible.

The last two season don't do anything for this season and any projection that takes that into account is flawed. their best player who plays the most important position on the field is gone. Cincinnati is good and they do return their QB is was pretty good himself so yeah on paper, they should be thought of as higher. If you are picking UCF because of the last two seasons, you're just being lazy. But again to be in that game, you aren't only competing with the AAC.

Wrong...the conference will look for the best exposure for the conference and will ensure that they have a P5 game. Worst cast is the Military Bowl....

I am picking either ucf or Cincinnati to win the AAC East.  Wimbush will be a good QB for them under Heupel , they are loaded at RB and WR (Killins, McCrae, Anderson, Nixon, etc.) and they are well coached.  As I said before, I don't think they  will be worse than 9-3 and if they finish 11-1, I won't be surprised.  As much as I hate them and despise their fan base, I won't deny how stacked they are.

BW is one dimensional and always has been, and the reason he flamed out at ND. Having a QB that can run and not throw can work in High school but not college.  He will get yanked and they will bring in the freshman, not sure why heupel is now a savior and this great QB coach? they will take a step back, the big question is who will step up if anyone.

Way to go out on the ledge there Raider...😂😂😂. Just busting your balls, yes these are the easy picks for the east. I am still taking Houston to win the whole thing.

Like @USFRaider is saying, Cincy is the obvious team. I seriously can’t see anyway they don’t win the east.

Fickell has recruited well at Cincy and if they can win ten games he will probably be gone to the P5 in 2020.  Michael Warren is a beast and they have a great defense.  I am very happy they get ucf at home this season.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
