I would be impressed if that was in-the-stadium attendance but those numbers are announced attendance right? USF is notorious for quoting announced attendance and not actual in-the-stadium attendance. Plus last season's attendance was boosted by the central Florida takeover of Ray Jay.

All attendance numbers are based on tickets sold aka announced attendance

Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald has an interesting take on attendance.  I think he nails it.

Really...ok...sure...we must have different definitions for the term “fan support”...selling tickets is completely different than caring enough to actually show up.

It has always been tickets sold not fans in the seats, or at least in the past 20 years.  Let’s win games and generate excitement, if it is not enough at least us homers will die with a huge smile on our face.

And UCF claimed 35k attendance of a game that was around 10k or less. Lets be honest all schools have inflated their attendance more than once. There was an article about the University of Tennessee and another about the University of Kentucky in which both had drastically over inflated their attendances. Yeash,

Just because USF has their attendance published every freaking time doesn't mean USF is the only school reporting different numbers. Most schools report "Tickets Distributed" as their tickets sold and that isn't true but, hey they aren't getting their numbers reported every freaking day.

Listen, if you're a UCF fan just say so, don't come her being a closet clown.

Jeez, sensitive much? I never said that USF is the only school reporting different numbers. I simply said did I would be impressed if that was the end Stadium attendance and pointed out that the attendance was boosted by a near stadium takeover by the fans of another program.

I'm not a UCF fan. Far from it, not even sure why you are even rushing to that judgement. I am more than ready to see them lose several games, including to USF, so that I don't have to see them ranked or talked about on ESPN (unless it is about them losing).

It is just embarrassing to me, at least, to be in Ray Jay, look around and see 17k people, pretend that the club seats are sold out and then see the announced attendance.

All schools should be honest and just report actual game attendance while cashing checks from the people who paid for tickets but did not show up for the game.
