U are the best of the little 4... not part of the big 4...

I see it differently.  There is a big 3, a "little 3" if you want to look at it that way, and a "middle".  USF would be the middle.  Also known as average.

But thats a major step up, so hey.  You can't win everything while you're still trying to get better.

that Pat JULMISS isn't the answer ... here's hoping Matt Grothe gets to start.... We need to find out if he can get it done so might as well throw in in there... sure can't do any worse!

We would only see Grothe if we took away his redshirt which I dont think we want to do right now.....Pat can be enough for us this year if he just settles down early and gets into a rhythm....The game has to be very simple for Pat and I think with the exception of West Virgina, there really is not another defense we will face this year where a simple game plan would not work....Despite this loss, I still believe we are fine for the rest of the season bc we still have  great defense and a very solid running game

If grothe is good though it would hurt to cost him a year of eligibility.

Imagine 2003 if he HAD blackwell, and then you realize that if we'd redshirted the guy we may have already been to a bowl game...

I can't imagine that C4 is impressing the coaches too much.  If he were, you'd think they would have put him behind center at least for one series.

the mistake was made in the spring

leavitt had to let pj change positions and let grothe and hill fight it out with cd being #3

Blackwell did redshirt. He was a fifth-year senior in 2002.
