I’ll never understand why we ran nickel most of that game. There were multiple times when FSU would run out a 1 WR set, and we were still in a sub package with 5 DBs. The inability to adjust on defense that game (and entire year really) was pop warner bad.

Raymond Woodie is your answer.

I would dare Wisconsin to throw the ball and stack the box all game long...then again im not a DC.

Watching some of Wisconsins last game vs Miami... they are good at using the TE in the middle.  They are going to score points so need to have our offense be clicking very well in this game and get some turnovers to have any chance.

Yeah their RB/TE combo could cause a lot of trouble. I know a lot of people point to them having to replace a QB, but I’m of the opinion Coan will be an upgrade over Hornibrook.

With that said, priority 1 through infinity has to be loading up against the run. Stack the box and force Coan to beat you.

It wasn't just that...they played the db's 15 yards off the line of scrimmage....they did that the entire year though...the coordinator gave the opposing offense an unfair advantage...kinda like Sterling gave the opposing d an unfair advantage with this predictable play calling last season...

I don’t think our defense is going to have the size needed to win this game.

First game with a new offense and if last year was any indication, an undersized defense.

We have speed and some play makers and maybe we have some big plays. But I think Wisconsin’s offense is going to control the game.

This is what I have been saying all spring and summer.  Taylor is going to have a monster game.  We won't be able to get their offense off of the field.

Current odds are more like Wisconsin by 9 1/2 - 10 1/2:

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
