Exciting, loud, best atmosphere I have experienced at a football game.  Tore my right MCL jumping up and down.  The doctor asked me how I tore it.  Football, I said.  You're playing football at your age??!  No, watching it!  I thought he was going to have me committed.  I guess he just doesn't get it.

They've had THREE basketball coaches since 1978 - consistency and really good coaching with Gale Catlett, John Beilein, and Bob Huggins. Three coaches in 40+ years!

I'll never forget that week! 

  • Camping out in "Leavitt town" only to have the man himself come by and say hey and thanks us 
  • The most wild pre and post game tailgates USF has ever had.  Including the couch burning after the game in the mall lot 
  • The lid coming off of the place after the INT TD and the deep shot to Carlton Mitchell 
  • The only true, all in, field storming we've had at Ray Jay 
  • And that ever so brief moment where we were the number 2 team in the land for a week

There have been some screwball pitchers over the years.  John "the Count of" Montefusco comes to mind.  Mark Fidrych also.
