My bet now is that the AAC will not respond at all in adding a new team. Each conference member just picked up a few more dollars without doing nothing:

My guess is that UConn was told that they aren't getting a Golden Ticket. Other then that, I just don't see why they would harpoon their Football program so. It makes little sense.

Talk is about bringing in Army for football. With all due respect to the folks at West Point, Navy is enough triple option for me in one year.

If the Conference were to go to 16 Teams with 4 Divisions of 4 Teams, you'd play only one of them every year. I could live with that and enjoy a closer Divisional footprint.

You can't just kick out or drop Tulsa and Tulane because you want to add someone else.

We wouldn't be kicking them out - we'd be leaving the conference to form a new conference. Tulsa and Tulane can take everyone's exit fee and keep the conference name and decide what they want to do. Simply kicking them out would likely lead to litigation, but there are rules for that allow for leaving.

It would be easier to dissolve the conference and then form a new one and far cheaper.

If theres a way to get BYU and Boise State on our side I'm all for it. Hopefully in this scenario we would get a seat at the playoff table but I wouldn't hold my breath.
