Dumbass idea and another slap in the face to the Tampa Bay area by this cheapskate owner.   Ironically this comes out after losing 7 of 10 games and 3 straight series and watching us fall the furtherest back we've been all year.

On a side note, build the stadium in Ybor City/Downtown area and let's move on.  I just went to Citizen Bank in Philly and Camden Yards in Baltimore over the past couple of weeks.  What beautiful parks and great assets to the whole area just like Atlanta's new stadium.  Get it done or send them to Montreal full time

By asset, I’m assuming you don’t mean the stadium gets a return on the investment.

I don't think this is a serious idea they are pursuing.  Just pursuing it enough to make the Tampa Bay area feel a little pressure.

Useful in that it will be used for baseball. Value depends entirely on how much you like said baseball. But it has been proven time and time and time again, stadiums NEVER turn a profit for the city.

Maybe the Bulls should threaten to split time like this to leverage a new stadium and really confuse the nation even more where the University of South Florida is located.

Or maybe we can get free use of the other "half" of a new stadium in Ybor.  We know the students can find their way down there.

The Rays deserve better than the attendance they get in St Pete
