Guest Jonesy Bull
Good Move to get these guys on our schedule. If we have to do one FBS team a year, it might as well be in-state teams. Besides you have the added entertainment of their awesome Bands. It is kind of strange that we have never had Bethune on our schedule before. Heck, our guys stay in a hotel the night before a home game. Remember in L'ville their team stayed at our hotel the night before the game. Don't know what the lower tier teams do. All D1a schools stay in a hotel the night before a home game.

Agree I like the move....if we are going to play a FBS team make it one that will atleast bring some more fans to the game which Bethune and Famu will do. I was specifically referencing the marching band. I figured the players would be in a hotel.

Remember their fans cheering in their stadium opener down there when one of our LBs got knocked out. Think the kids name started with an M. We never need to play those low lifes again even though I know McGough's dad. BTW, he switched from the Seahawks to the Jags in the off season. Brouce Mompremier. Let us also remember, they canceled a contract with us last moment that was pretty low the class scale too.

Sadly too, I am pretty sure he was from Miami and that happened in front of a lot of family and friends.

At least FAMU brings their share of fans to the game. 2011, we drew 50,000. 2015, the number dropped precipitously to 30,300. Hopefully we can draw somewhere around 40,000 with them for the future games. We only paid them $450,000 for the 2021 game. .... Attendance is the key for me, but don't like playing 1AA.
