I'll sit back and watch as it finally sinks in at UCF.  They're not dumb  -  just blindly supporting an AD that first pisses off the world and then demands one for ones.  The reality of the situation will finally overcome the fantasy when they are forced to take two for ones or have two or three FCS teams to fill the schedule.  We are in a crap conference and beating the big boys means a lot more than a conference win.

Actually, I think they would be ok playing cupcakes that give them the best chance to win and they will use the fallback excuse of "Hey, we asked them and they said no...what do you want us to do?  Not our fault they didn't want to play a 1:1."  Call me nostrabullsonparade, but that is probably how this will unfold...

I don't doubt that it will unfold that way, I just think most of the college football world will treat that excuse the same way they do their national championship banner.

In a perfect world, their SOS doesn’t ever come into play again ....

Not gonna happen.  There are so many options before having to desperately resort to numerous 2-for-1s vs "Power" 5.

1. Home and Home with top tier G5 such as Boise St, San Diego St, Fresno St

2. Occasional (once every 5-6 years...only if necessary) "payday" game where we get $1.5 - $2 million for one of our two normal OOC away games in a year.

3. Neutral site game vs a Top 20 level team

4. Home and home with other G5 teams that are hot at any given time.

5. Occasional (once every 5-6 years) 2-for-1 with a premiere team.

Which is fine if that’s what UCF scheduling philosophy is going to be. Again, every program has their own agenda ..... just don’t come in here with your total ******** about how we’re some kind of pariah with the rest of the conference now because of OUR philosophy. Apparently nothing could be further from the truth.

1. Home and Home with top tier G5 such as Boise St, San Diego St, Fresno St - Fine

2. Occasional (once every 5-6 years...only if necessary) "payday" game where we get $1.5 - $2 million for one of our two normal OOC away games in a year. - This is stupid.  A 2-for-1, is essentially a home-and-home plus a payday game.  If your AD won't do a 2-for-1, he's not going to do this.

3. Neutral site game vs a Top 20 level team - Unlikely you'll ever get this

4. Home and home with other G5 teams that are hot at any given time. - Fine

5. Occasional (once every 5-6 years) 2-for-1 with a premiere team. - Your AD has already said that this isn't going to happen.

Nice if you can do that and people care.  Tampa folk wouldn't care about those teams.  I don't blame them, either.

And with the SoS of the AAC teams, those two victories should be enough for any team to claim a national championship.
