Louisville outhits Vandy but fail to score enough runs and fall 3-1.

Auburn controlled the entire game against MissSt. but can't close it out and lose in the bottom of the ninth.

The CWS has produce some really great games thus far and looks to continue to do so. There is really no clear cut favorite as two of the last four teams won their opening games. its gonna be a wild one.

With a 4-1 loss to Texas Tech the legendary career of Mike Martin comes to an end.

Yeah, kind of sad to see him go out without ever winning the big one.  Still hell of a career though.

Michigan and Vandy for the title starts tonight. Michigan was one of the last four to get in the tournament. Quite the run for big blue.

Glad Vandy won as they were my pre tournament pick but as the CWS went on I found a lot of respect for the Michigan guy. Also how about the eye for coaching talent that Jack Legget has.

If there is any such thing as a 'Baseball First School" - Vandy certainly fits the bill.  The rest of their sports programs are mostly below average but **** they know how to pitch and hit baseballs!

That really didn't start until Corbin got there.

Side notes: Corbin was on staff at Clemson with Kevin O'Sullivan (Florida), John Pawloski (formerly Auburn, now WKU).

Corbin's coaching tree includes Erik Bakich (who he brought with him from Clemson and just beat for the title) Josh Holiday who has been very successful at OklaSt, and Travis Jewell currently at Tulane.

Back on topic, Schools like Cal State Fullerton, Rice, and Dallas Baptist would also fall in that category.

Yes, I agree with you on those 3 other schools you mentioned - they certainly fit that bill too.

So, what do we have to do to get one of those Corbin tree guys?  Sounds like they are the real deal.
