I'd say according to the talk here, the hype/expectation leaders are MBB and the #PlayFastScoreFaster offense.

Perhaps that's a biased report, because those are my two.

What other sports, male or female, show promise or have you thinking about their upcoming season for one reason or another?

I haven't spoken with MSocC BB recently but know they had a ton of injuries last year and a couple of supposedly nice players coming in. So there is some hope that they will be better this go round.

I'll throw down the gauntlet.

Sports that should be good just based on  natural selection:

M and W Soccer

Baseball

Softball

Football

M and W golf

Get it done USF Athletics.  :)

To get you and others to bite.  😁

But, the sports are warm weather sports and/or sports that Florida seems to have an affinity for creating athletes, or should.

I have long believed USF SHOULD BE much better in baseball than they have (for a long time).  Many would agree the same for football.  The other sports seem to meet similar criteria...outdoors is year round.  Keep them home.

Maybe not as sexy but you can put track and field on that list.

And tennis was left off because ................? Can be played indoors year round?

Also left off one of the most recently consistently successful fitting your criteria..... women's sailing

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
