That's unfortunate. He looked really good in the spring game and was poised for competing for the starting job next year. Guessing we are down to McCloud and Evans in 2020 when we go to Texas. Okay, then.

Kid saw the writing on the wall. Good luck to him.

I thought he looked good enough to be in the thick of the competition post Barnett so this is a bit puzzling.   Hopefully he changes his mind, stays,  and competes.

If Charlie Strong is such a great , world-class recruiter, then I am sure we will have no trouble landing more QB's.

Either: 1. He has determined that the competition next year is too good for him.

2. He is scared of competition.

3. There are better QB recruits coming on campus.

4. He feels he is not getting a fair chance.

Battle had no chance of playing. I personally believe if we can hold on to Jordan Smith (His dad played at  USF so there is a good chance) he can possibly beat out McCloud or at least minimum make 2nd string his freshman year. I personally hope he red-shirts. I was wrong about Kean being our savior, but confident that Jordan Smith hands down will take us to another level, and hell he is a decent basketball player as well. I feel this summer will be a lot of players transferring out after this incoming freshman class an transfers come in.
