The 5-foot-6 guard is an experienced international player, having played in the FIBA 2017 and 2018 European Championships. In 2018, she averaged 7.9 points per game, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists over seven games. She posted double-figure scoring outings four times and four or more assists on three occasions. In 2017 at the European Championship, she posted 8.1 points per game and 2.8 rebounds per game. "Lazic is a dynamic guard that will give us depth in multiple positions and allow us to continue our tradition of outstanding guard play," Fernandez said. Lazic joins a stacked recruiting class that Fernandez will bring to Tampa in 2019. The incoming class will consist of freshmen Kristyna Brabencova (Brno, Czech Republic), and Maria Alvarez (Bal Harbour, Fla.), while junior college transfer Bethy Mununga (Belgium) will join the Bulls as a junior. Everyone that comes from over there is "5 star" with International experience. Problem is they don't have UConn experience.

Kelly should limit the number of “imports” Jose can recruit.

The shift towards international players started with the 2011-12 season in my opinion (this is a judgement call on my part). Here are the win totals since then: 19, 22, 23, 27, 24, 24, 26, 19. That is 8 seasons, where the lowest win total was 19. In the 40 seasons prior, we won 19 or more games 4 times - all with Jose as the coach.
