Here's a question. If it was as clear cut as you claim it is,

There is no "if". It can't be any more clear cut than this:

Beginning in 2014, the College Football
Playoff was used to determine national champions
in FBS
.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a response. Their fan base has dropped by 50% after only two losses...

He'll respond. I was starting to think he was trolling but he may really have a reading comprehension problem and seriously think they have some sort of legit claim for natty  ....

It was already responded to previously.

But it is less fun to talk football when your team is out of contention for a playoff spot or NY6 bowl.

ucf for all that they did over the course of 2 seasons has been completely forgotten about illustrating the irrelevance of anything and everything AAC.

The NCAA actually wrote two paragraphs explaining that the cfb playoffs is the end all in determining who is the actual champion...

As a proud UCF graduate…and a three decade fan of all UCF sports, I cannot disagree more with Brian Druckenmiller and his misguided criticism of UCF Athletic Director Danny White. Brian’s claims are both inaccurate and disrespectful. Throwing around terms like whining, entitled, and brat in your guest column is no way to be taken seriously.

Danny White has been absolutely professional and well spoken in everything he has said about the scheduling issue, the college football playoffs, and the National Championship.  The problem is, UCF haters take things way out of context, trying to make Danny White a villain for sticking up for his school and his conference.

UCF is doing exactly what Alabama, Florida, and other schools are doing. Danny White is scheduling in a way that gives UCF fans what they want (one home game each year against a “Power” 5 opponent), while giving UCF the best shot to reach the highest level they can realistically achieve…which in UCF’s case is the G5 spot in a NY 6 Bowl. That statement may not sit well with some UCF fans, but it is reality.  If UCF had beaten Florida last year instead of FCS South Carolina St, the Knights still would not have jumped over four teams (Michigan, Ohio St, Georgia, and Oklahoma) all the way into the playoffs.

UCF haters don’t know that Stanford was a Top 10 team four years in a row at the time they scheduled UCF home and home.  Louisville was a Top 25 team two of the four years prior to scheduling the home and home with UCF. North Carolina was ranked #15 and the ACC Coastal Division champs when they scheduled their home and home with UCF.

Other American conference teams have also been successful in scheduling well known teams home and home, including  Houston vs Oklahoma, Memphis vs Ole Miss, Memphis vs UCLA, Cincinnati vs UCLA, Temple vs Miami, Houston vs Arizona, and Temple vs Penn St.  If there are “Power” 5 teams willing to play UCF home and home, there is no reason to cave in to unreasonable demands from other schools, especially if they want UCF to move our “home” game off campus to Camping World Stadium.

Brian wants UCF to strengthen our schedule.  UCF did exactly that for much of the past 23 years, playing one (usually multiple) away games at Auburn, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio St, Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Wisconsin, Penn State, Arizona State, Ole Miss, Mississippi St, and Nebraska without getting a return game.  It’s time for some teams to visit UCF.

Our future looks bright, so I don't really care how the Orlando school is doing anymore.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
