That’s the debate.  An aac trinket and losing all non-cons (or beating the FI/AUs) means very little to most.  Even for the incredible Tinmen, it and the “BCS” bowl win is proving useless.  They still had to fabricate other stuff and became a shunned laughingstock.  The non-consequential bowl game for winning the aac is just that - nonconsequential.    I guess if anything it fed Bianchi’s and UCF’s shared propaganda machine.

Always an option.  For many, struggling through anonymity is not what most Bulls fans want.  If you're UCF and you spent decades in CUSA or MAC and toiling in D-II and D-IAA AND now the aac, you're probably in heaven.  We have the burden of having actually played at a high level.  It is being addressed with non-conference opponents not a hopeless P6 disinformation campaign - or closing the whole thing down.

Meanwhile plenty of people in the other 49 states think USF means the University of San Francisco and don't understand why the University of South Florida isn't in South Florida. But they know where the University of Central Florida is.

Meanwhile athletically USF remains little brother to those other guys because too many of us are happy with beating them an bringing the I-4 trophy back, temporarily, to Tampa and are okay with bowl games in Birmingham and Memphis in July because #Food instead of playing in Atlanta or New Orleans on New Years Day.

Not enough fans are demanding excellence. 

I'm beginning to think that USF deserves to play in Bowl games in Ray Jay in December against C-USA teams in front of 15k fans.
