It didn't soften my dislike for his radio show or his schtick though. I wanted to listen to sports talk not someone just rail on people to get a reaction Haven't listened to sports radio since Mike Breen (the NBA play by play guy) was a guest on Imus back in the day. People that are trying to make him out to be some kind of broadcast icon are just crazy. In order to be considered good at his chosen profession, he needed to either be knowledgeable or entertaining - preferably both. He was neither. I am sorry about his passing, but how could anyone miss him being on the air? I don't think anyone on this thread has said they'll miss him, far from it .... and it's kind of silly to call someone not good at his profession when he lasted over 20 years at it, especially a revolving door one like on-air radio. He was obviously doing something right but it just wasn't something that most on here appreciated ...

Encountered him often on the Feather Sound golf course or drinking at the Courtside. Whenever the topic turned to USF it got ugly. Still, I will wish condolences to those loved ones he left behind. Has the hate for USF ever been explained? I know he wasn't a Jim Leavitt fan, and then he was probably pissed they didn't hire his boy Bisaccia, but I feel like there had to be something else.

This place is always strange, and more so when football and basketball aren't active. It should probably be placed in the general Tampa sports area but I'm glad it was here. I wanted to be another to ask if you have any insight as to what the issue was. Since he was all about the hometown teams, it seems illogical that he spewed so much vitriol towards the hometown college team.
