According to this article,  we will need to scrap $450k of signs on the new USF health building and buy replacements.

Thought this horse had been beaten to death by now but seems it's on going for obvious reasons $$. USF might be "preeminent" but that doesn't mean that common sense prevails throughout the ranks. Knowing how the Alumni feel about their university might be the catalyst to start installing more USF folks in Admin positions. Build from within, people who take this school to heart compared to hiring from outside. Yes, it's a business but it's also Our University. ( seems like there was a vote/survey taken?? while back about the "new" logo?? think we must have lost) OK, hope I don't twist my ankle climbing off this soapbox....

Maybe some of those monster signs can be repainted and utilized again to help keep some costs down. Possibly, Merrill Lynch would buy some of the signs?? Hopefully, re-purpose and not just warehouse. Look good on the new football facility or the OCS..???

This reminds me of when CWT started at USF and actually managed to lose more than CSH. The following season he was able to win just over CSH’s final season but was able to claim improvement because it was better than 2-10 and loss to an FCS team dumpster fire he created. If you make bad decisions and then pivot back to something you already had you don’t somehow get to claim you accomplished something.

I thought an article was posted from somewhere else about how this was Judy's baby and Judy's alone.

It was her attempt to top Lifesy House.

Great great academic gains and growth for the university but this was a very public gaffe at the end of her tenure.

I'm not surprised... This always had the feel of a project that was somebody planting their flag to celebrate themselves, a legacy project if you will.   If that article says what you say it did then this is exactly what it was.  She wanted to leave non metaphorical mark on the university and nobody was going to stop that, until now...

So kinda like re-marrying your ex-wife...

I’m sure there are perfectly good reasons why people do that, but they don’t get to then claim that they upgraded wives.

Because wasting money is bad?

Waisting money is bad but correcting a mistake is better....what’s done is done...pissing and moaning about it now is irrelevant.

Right, right and so right about that...   But, on-going pissing and moaning just may stem from loneliness or those seeking camaraderie or....it's raining thus a time waster?? Or, it's not quite beer30 yet in central time zone...

I drive thru downtown Tampa twice a day commuting to and from work, and look at that ugly logo on the side of the new building, just waiting to see it gone...

A message board without pissing and moaning goes over like a prancing bull rebrand, porn and complaining are the foundations upone which the internet is built.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
