Bulls Drop Middle Game to Cougars

Joe Genord had two hits and the lone RBI for USF

TAMPA, FLA., April 27, 2019 – The USF baseball team dropped the middle game to Houston Saturday, 7-1, forcing a rubber match Sunday afternoon.

The Bulls (20-21, 3-11 The American) were behind early after the Cougars (26-17, 9-8 The American) plated two in the second. Houston doubled its lead in the fifth before USF got on the board in the bottom of the sixth. The Cougars scored the final three runs, capped by a two-run homer in the eighth, as their arms quieted the Bulls’ bats.

Nota-Bulls

·   Junior Jordan Santos (Tampa) had a double and scored USF’s run in the sixth on a Genord RBI.
