Bulls Return to League Action, Host Cougars For Three

We left after taking the lead 4 - 3. The umpire didn't help us last night. Some horrendous ball strike calls.

There was one Houston mom there who was pretty annoying.  I think it was Dietrich at bat and he smoked one, I mean really drilled it, right at the left fielder.  "Nice pitch".  No, it wasn't. The kid got lucky.  

Then when their starter, who may have been her son, was about to go out of the game he threw over to 1st base a dozen times in one at bat. This had been interrupted by a visit to the mound by the catcher, then the coach and catcher and 30+ seconds between pitches on top of the throws over to first.  Some fans, including me, started yelling about the pace of the game.  Good ole mom can be heard saying "It's a 4 hour game. If you don't like it - don't come."  

I controlled myself but wanted to tell her I remember the average game time when I was a kid was about 2 hours 15 minutes.  Oh yeah, the batter walked forcing the guy on first to second base and the pitcher was removed.  Next kid walked the only guy he faced and then got pulled on a 2-2 count to the next guy who walked. So I guess technically he walked 2 batters.

Was that back when you use to walk 5 miles to school, in the snow, uphill both ways?
