An unusual position for USF after the 1st round.  In 3rd place at +6 trailing SMU (+1) and Memphis (+2).  Cinci and UCF right behind us at +7.  We were paired with SMU today but will be paired with Cinci or UCF tomorrow.  Don't know how they decide - whether it is first in or higher initial seed.  We're planning on going out to see them tomorrow.

Usually, all rounds after the first are done by score. It's a little surprising that they are in 3rd place and they are not paired with the first two other teams. Usually if there is 3 team pairings, the first three are paired together. There must be an odd number of teams and they are letting the first 2 teams play together and 3 team pairings after that.

They went off just 2 guys at a time. Our guys paired with SMU today.  Five guys, use top 4 for scoring.  So we'll go off with the 4th team according to the sheet that I got from CSBradley.  Just don't know how they determine that with the score tied between Cinci and UCF.

Another not so great day.  We went out there to cheer them on but we were +9 today putting us at +15 in 5th place.  At one point we were in 2nd place at +8 and then the back 9 happened.

Do you have to win the tourney to get to the NCAA or has this team set itself up for an at-large?

For a guaranteed spot yes.

However, if the rest of the season is good enough they could be in. Where are they rated now?

We went into this at #38 which was tops in our Conference.  Think that was Golf Stat.  Don't see this team making the tournament. Would be nice but not expecting it this year.

It's been a while since my sons played but I believe there were 4 or 5 sectionals with 16 teams each?

I would think #38 would be good enough.

I looked up the 2016 tournament and there were 6 sectionals 3 had 13 teams, and 3 had 14 teams,

That's a lot of teams.
