Is he really thinking about playing again??? I would think there would be more to life than football for him, but I guess I can understand his attempt. Running on turf is one thing what about live contact? If I was him mom or dad I would be scared shitless.

Good for him!  Great attitude and this was a great look at the daily struggle an injury can cause.  Can't wait until he can return and I can swear at him again from my easy chair!

I’m not related, but I don’t think I could watch him play without holding my breath on every play. He was a great player, but there needs to be more to life for him at this point.

Completely agree, although I totally dislike UCF, I think I would even be nervous watching him play as a USF fan.

Do you have a passion?  The reason  you wake up, breath, struggle through some terrible situations? Mine used to be barefoot water skiing before kids, then teaching my kids to "foot". Now work, what ever it takes to succeed within the laws and regulations. 

 

He and many other 100% focused athletes, are not like "us". He attacked getting his degree, jumped into his masters, and is almost done. He is a very focused dude. 

We have communicated, and all I will say is that he is not nearly done.
