Great to see USF win something in a major sport, though admittedly I didn't know that the CBI even existed until this year. I'm a very casual basketball fan, and hadn't really followed much until this season. What would you say the football equivalent is to this accomplishment (winning the CBI)? I'm assuming a mid-level bowl win?

More like a low level bowl win. Think magicjack.com bowl

Nah winning a tournament is much more difficult. Props to these guys. They are light years ahead of where the started with Gregory.

I wish we could've skipped the Orlando Antigua era and gotten Gregory then...

It would be like winning 5 mid level bowl games in a row on short rest.

The mid-level bowl is the NIT.

The NCAA is the New Years 6.

The CBI is the low-level tier equivalent

It's a good accomplishment for this team, but let's be honest this is essentially playing for 101st place.

The meaningfulness of this season will be over the next two, as now these guys know what it takes to win a tournament.

Reality check: if we go 50% collectively as a team, from the charity stripe we were in the big dance. We’re not a bad team. We crash the boards for rebounds And get rewarded with foul shots. We turn the page on misses and were playing in the tournament .

Guest Jonesy Bull

Its a great accomplishment for this tea.  To beat 4 pretty good teams in a row......and lets be honest our trophy case leaves alot to be desired......this is significant.  The alternative was not to win it.......CONGRATS BASKETBULLS!!
