USF Vs UCF: Series info and discussion.

I get that making the CWS in any era is difficult considering the competition against the Big 3 at their place......however you cant argue that getting ZERO conference championships (since what 1982 or something) given the competition and being a Florida school is hard to fathom.

Stetson's baseball team has been good for a loooooong time.  And I'll say it again, we've gotten the scraps for most of our history.  UF, FSU, and UM are taking the creme de la creme.  Then you got JUCOs, other D1's swooping in, Pro draft, and other D1 schools around the state.  We've probably had some of our best recruiting the past few years under Kingston and Current. We'll see if Mohl and Jeroloman can keep it up.

Im not saying Mohl can't get it done, maybe he does maybe he doesnt.  So far im not impressed.  How much time do we give him if we stink it up this year?  Another year, two?

There is no reason at the very least, we shouldnt get as good of players as teams like Stetson.  

If you are saying we have had our best recruiting as of late, we certainly arent seeing the results of that so far.

Haven't seen results?  We've had some of our best seasons in history the past few seasons.  We keeping running into buzz saws in the Regionals.  Last year was a little disappointing, but was still a great season.

I just think expectations are out of whack with reality.  We can say we should have one a conference title at some point I guess

And i'm not defending Mohl.  My point was that Kingston and Current did a heck of a job recruiting.  Saw Current up at the Perfect Game 15U Nationals in Marietta last summer working it for South Carolina.  Didn't see Mohl or Jeroloman, but maybe I missed them

I will agree that Kingston did a good job while he was here.  Just havent seen it so far with the transition to Mohl.  Time will tell.  Im an optimist at heart (despite my previous posts).  I havent given up on him yet....just dont want us to waste time if he isnt the answer.

Mohl's only been in charge for going on 2 years.  We really don't know anything yet.  Awfully difficult to judge recruiting just yet, but the leash may very well be short.

There are similarities, both teams regressed this year......however, I think the football team is more "upwardly mobile" at this point with the newly aquired assistant coaches and overall talent level.
