Your Tampa Bay Rays are 3-1 and Blake Snell was the only losing pitcher in the 1st series.

Not sure if anybody has noticed or cares......but the Rays are 8-3 and their pitching and defense appears to be legit.  I know it is waaayyy early, but the question mark for this team is whether they have enough offense to compete with the big boys of the AL East.  Either way a wild card is certainly a realistic goal - could be a FUN season for Rays fans.

On the other end of the spectrum from what the Lightning "aren't" doing, don't look now but the Rays have the best record in Baseball.

I have no elusions that they can keep this pace up or even win the AL East, its a long long season......but with the pitching and defense this team has, they certainly have a chance to be better than what most people expected.

My expectations for them were be in the wildcard race in the end, that about where Is still have them.

Snell on DL from fractured toe but not expected to be out long.....Rays win again tonight though, now a surprising 13-4.  

Small consolation though after that Lightning depressing playoff showing/ sweep tonight.

**** its hard being a Tampa Bay / USF fan!  There always seems to be a frustrating ending.
