Who is the guy doing the game for USF radio?  He's very confusing with his description of the action.  Never thought I'd say it, but I miss Jim Louk

Jim Louk is a USF treasure....

So we're down Rags, Hoffman and King?

Injuries have been the story for USF athletics across the board this year - it seems!

Bulls Drop 8-7 Battle at Jacksonville Tuesday
USF had 11 hits in the loss

JACKSONVILLE, FLA., MARCH 12, 2019 –Overcoming an early 4-0 deficit, the USF baseball team battled back on multiple occasions, but fell to Jacksonville University at John Sessions Stadium, 8-7, Tuesday night

It was a slugfest early on, as Jacksonville put up four runs in the bottom of the first on three hits. USF responded with three runs in the top of the third to get back in the game. The Bulls (7-7) loaded the bases with no outs, then a double-play grounder allowed Chris Chatfield (Riverview, Fla.) to score from third.

After a Jordan Santos (Tampa) walk, an errand throw to first allowed Tyler Dietrich (Naples, Fla.) to score from third. With Santos just 90 feet from home, a passed ball brought him home to make it 4-3.

The Dolphins (10-6) were able to strike twice more in the bottom half, both coming with two outs to make it 6-3. USF again answered with three more runs in the top of the third to tie things up.

Following three-straight scoreless frames, pitching appeared to find a rhythm. The Bulls loaded the bases in the top of the third with two outs, as senior Joe Genord (Lake Worth, Fla.) led off the inning with his second double of the night. Consecutive walks brought up freshman Nick Gonzalez (Tampa), who delivered with an RBI infield single.

Another three scoreless frames later, the Dolphins were able to plate what was ultimately the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. The Bulls had runners on in the eighth and ninth, but were unable to drive anyone home.

Key Stats

11 – The Bulls had double-digit hits for the fifth time this year.
5 – Genord got on base five times, doubling twice and walking three times.
16 – Santos worked his team high 16th walk. He was 11th nationally entering the game with 1.25 walks per game.

Nota-Bulls

·   Genord set a new career high with the two doubles.

·   Santos finished 2-for-5 with a run.

Wild pitches are plaguing Burns's starts and leading to early runs.

Not pretty but its a Win.  Need to take care of Dartmouth this weekend.  Anything less than 2 wins will be a major disappointment
