Of course I could be wrong relative to our G5 status, but I would really like to see what would happen to quantity and thus quality of applicants and $ donated if football and men’s basketball did something really great (women’s sports will never move the needle). 

Agreed, there needs to be a happy medium between academics and athletics...

Po-tay-to ... Po-tah-to .... With no specific evidence as to where JG didn't care that much about Athletics, there's no way to really quantitatively support the assertion that "I just hope he/she cares more about Athletics, or we will forever be in the dust of ucf"  .... which is cool. "Demanding excellence" has pretty much been a board staple as long as there's been this board.
