Sounds a lot like when people believe our recruiting isn't what it used to be...or the HB dive.

There's also a lot of literature about how facts don't change people's minds. Anecdotal stories and appeals to emotion do. The human brain is scary and seriously messed up. If USF had president who actually cared about sports the football team would probably already have an on campus stadium, plus all the revenue that generates, an indoor practice facility and probably would have fired Woolard sooner. Pffffff. There is nowhere on campus to put a stadium... right?

I believe she was U Albany Provost before coming here. Blanchett is the current provost at Rutgers, a slightly better academic institution than Albany. Currall is the Provost at SMU. Ferrari has a legit education background in the military. Iwamoto is a current president of a university. McConnell is the Provost at WVU. Poppema is the president of a Dutch university. Riemer is a retired Air Force General with a ton of education background. Vitter is the Mississippi Chancelor. What resumes are you people looking at? This is a very good list for who we are, unless you're waiting on the president of Harvard to come calling. I disagree with this assessment. Agreed from an academics standpoint, but I was hoping to see more folks that some Tallahassee-experience. At this point in our school's evolution, we need someone that's really going to continue pulling levers and pushing buttons at the state capital. FSU and UF grads are going to continue trying to hoard as much for themselves as possible. Currall, McConnell, Vitter, Hurn, Blanchett, and Poppema (interesting dark horse candidate) are intriguing. I'm just speculating, but my first three could take to Tally like fish to water. Edited March 16, 2019 by Paisa el Toro
