It was a good season from this team but it still stings because they were at one time a top 5 caliber team in a very tough AAC. The lugs on the wheels started loosening sometime after after the beating UCF gave them in Orlando and the team never seemed to be the same. Of course injuries to the backcourt had a lit to do with that and fatigue took care of the rest. Not sure how much is left in the tank for our young Bulls at this point, but if they can get their 2nd wind and get healed up, they are capable of winning the CBI if they get in.

I think SMU and 1 tourney game are good for the NIT.  Don't want to be USiF but if we make 10% more free throws and maybe 2 other plays go our way, we have 4-5 more wins than we do today.

Someone said on another board that the Aresco does not want an AAC team playing in any tournament except the NCAA and NIT. It was said that a number of schools in the P5 took this stand. Don’t know if it is BS or not.

That's an understandable stand to take. Especially for the AAC. It would just scream we aren't at the same level and destroy the P6 marketing he's doing.

The CBI has schools from just about every major conference.

Its good to be in ANY postseason tournament this year.  These are at a minimum teams we are on the same level with right now

We beat the two AAC teams in the NIT, but that sputter down the stretch removed any luster.
