I grew up in KY and have a lot of fond memories being part of the Blue Nation and thus was excited at first with the Antigua hire...just for the Big Blue connection...my USF-Big Blue dream quickly turned into a turd.

That is pretty much the standard these days. I'm not sure you see a new coach in Basketball receive  their first contract at their new job that is less than 5 years.

Antigua did land Jahmal McMurray. Also, Antigua found David Collins and Justin Brown. Before the Austin Peay game someone told me that Antigua spent too much time chasing Dominican kids and not recruiting Florida kids. He also said that Antigua didn't understand how to play the transfer market, especially the graduate transfer market.

He's a great assistant coach though.
