The Bulls (7-5) again scored in the first inning off of the Flames (10-4). Junior Jordan Santos (Tampa) got on base to open the game, then stole second. With two outs, senior Joe Genord (Lake Worth, Fla.) sent a deep fly ball into right-center for an RBI double. The Bulls tacked on another in the third. Santos walked, then two batters later senior Kyle Phillips (Orlando) delivered with a single for his 12th RBI of the year. The Flames finally got on the board in the top of the fourth after loading the bases with one out, making it 2-1. In the bottom half, with a runner at first, redshirt sophomore Jake Sullivan (Tampa) crushed his first career homer to left, making it 4-1. Wisely was sharp from there, retiring nine of the next 10 before being relieved in the eighth. Junior righty Nelson Alvarez (Miami) struck out a pair over the final two frames for his second save of the season. Key Stats 7 – Wisely matched a career long with seven innings pitched. 12 – Phillips’s team high RBI. 1 – Sullivan’s first career home run, as he started at third base for the first time. 14 – Santos has a team high 14 walks.
