Amazing what making contact will do for our offense. 3 runs this inning on 1 hard hit ball.

2nd and 3rd, 3-3 game in the 8th. Genord up with 1 out. Waiting on a pitching change for UNC.

USF gonna USF. Not only did we manage to get thrown out at the plate from a reasonably deep fly to CF, but Santos didn't bother to slide and got ejected from the game after being doubled up at home.

5-3 UNC. The guy who hit the 8th inning HR yesterday just hit one into the trees in left.

I think that was Freeman, he also hit the rocket off the wall earlier in the game. He had four of their five RBIs

It was always going to be a really tough task beating such a highly ranked team like UNC at their place.  Yes, we didn't make the plays when needed and UNC did (that's what good teams do).  We are not there yet, but I am encouraged that we were able hang very close in all 3 games against such a good team - could have gone either way.  Hopefully they learn from this.
