@puc86, is this good for UCF?  Asking for a friend.

I heard they have a new President and CFO that can some how move their games that are appropriated to ESPN Ocho to ESPNU. Double entry accounting is for b*****s.

So you'd rather us take half the money and be on CBS where half our fans don't even get the channel?

I guess I’ll reserve final judgement until I see the $. If it’s under $7 mil per team and 3/4 of the games are on espn+ then Aresco is an idiot.

So your final judgment will be based on the offer you don't know from the other networks?

You’ll need one of these to get AAC games...

The point of the tweet is that they are not shopping the offer...

I recall most of our games being nationally televised last season. The Wisconsin, GT, Cincy and UCF games will likely all be nationally televised in 2019. If ESPN's offer was too tempting, I don't blame Aresco. Sometimes you lose leverage by going to the open market. I doubt CBS or NBC were prepared to pony up and I also suspect that Aresco had a really good idea of what other networks would be willing to pay.

And you based that off of a Tweet that said we were close to a deal with ESPN? I need to get better at Twitter to read what isn't being said.

Correct...I am stirring up a **** storm...but if any deal with espn takes place no friggin way we don’t have minimally 1/3 of our games on espn+...ok let’s wait and see but I have a bad feeling about this (of course it could be gas...ok I set it for you now swing away).

Considering we get about $2 million a year right now, what makes you think anything less than $7 million is a bad deal? I don't follow this at all, but why are you confident we'd get 3x+ more on the open market next year? And last year, we had 1 game on ESPN+. Why would we all of a sudden get 9?
