I hope they really have something planned for those who already renewed. Seems odd to only reward those who have failed to renew early. I would have loved to hear Bell speak. We didn't have any other opportunities to do this since the seating relocation/addition period starts next week for the renewed accounts. Those who haven't renewed will have their seats become available for that process.

These smaller events with a focus to try to restore a relationship with slow deciding season ticket holders is a good use of resources. Perhaps a little unfair to those who have already made the commitment - sure- but when you are trying to save what fan base you have, you have to work the room that is only your target market. When I was still in Tampa-- I usually made a point to go to the various luncheons, golf outings, and other events to get my fill of hearing/seeing the coaches. That sort of ended for me after CJL was fired.

This! Glad John chimed in to put my concerns to bed. It's good to see USF getting creative to try to retain accounts that were on the fence and they plan on doing something similar for the people who are already in the fold. Bell seems like an engaging guy too so he would probably have more sway on folks than CCS who's a great man but not the most engaging in that kind of setting. Was the event a success (lots of people re-upping season tickets)?

I was not at the event, but I do know that roughly a dozen accounts renewed that night and others did the following Monday, so I would certainly call that a success. 1
