And I'd look at it the other way around. The salaries are justified by the high cost of games and the money the owners are raking in. I haven't seen a team lower their prices when they don't have a high payroll. No one is raising their ticket prices and concessions to cover players' salaries. The players are demanding more and more of the pie owners have been hoarding.
