Would love this setup. We need to be no worse than the #5 seed, as Tulane is clearly looking like the worst team in the conference. I wouldn't mind a second round match-up with Temple either. Still hoping we can snag a bye, but that will likely take an upset or two. We hold the tiebreaker over Memphis, but we would need to beat Temple and then beat Cincy and/or Houston in order to beat out Temple in a tiebreaker.

Good set up plus I would think that a top 5 finish assures a NIT bid

Only problem I could see with getting the 4/5 seed is you would have to go through houston in the semifinals whereas if you drop down to the 6 you're guaranteed to avoid houston until the finals.

You will likely get either Houston or Cincy in the Semis either way, it all depends on how the rest of the season shakes out. Heck, UCF could be in the mix for the top seed if they can knock off Houston on Thursday at home.

Assuming we win the rest of our home games and one more away game.

If we finish top 5 we're in the NIT, maybe top 6

It depends on how many regular season champions lose their conference tournament. It could be 12 or could be 16...Regular season champs get auto bid to NIT.
