Also losing to the Citadel hurts as they are awful.

The non-conference schedule is weak and while the AAC may have greater depth this year the conference slate doesn’t make up for a weak non-conference schedule. 24-9 should be good enough but anything less than that will require us winning the conference tournament. I don't even think 24-9 would be good enough. At this point, I think we can afford one more loss and still have a shot. Again, the big caveat here is that we don't know how the selection committee is going to use the new NET rankings. Under the old RPI we would have virtually no shot of getting in. We can get about 4 or 5 quality wins to close out the season. I would like to see this team leave nothing to chance and just win the AAC Tournament. Those close losses really hurt. A win over Georgetown and The Citadel and then a win against either Tulsa or Temple and we would likely be in the mix at 18-3 overall. We could afford a three losses down the stretch and still have a legitimate claim to an at-large bid, as we would have no bad losses and a few more Tier 1 or 2 wins. As an aside, doesn't all this postseason talk feel a little surreal after we languished through the last 6 seasons?
