I don't quite get why fans are arguing that USF should not recruit well.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying here.

He's saying that because you pointed out we have no history of winning championships nor setting the world on fire recruiting, you hate USF.

There is no reason why we shouldn't be near the top in our conference in recruiting, but to expect us to be landing guys left and right who have P5 offers is unrealistic.

So we are basically recruiting within our average ranking. Whats sad is that when we had the highest recruiting classes, we sucked. I highlighted all of our BE years. We were in a P5 conference in which we did have better recruiting classes and still only avg 7-8 wins per year. As much as I want higher ranked recruiting classes, I rather have more "efficient" classes. I'm happy with the class we have and look forward to seeing them play.

I don’t believe in recruiting rankings, I just believe in me.  Yoko and me.

Jim Leavitt  had passion and conveyed his desire to be at USF. The fanbase responded with passion. Every coach since then has lacked passion and has given no indication that they really desire to be at USF. The fanbase has responded accordingly. I think recruits will respond accordingly as well as it relates to Strong.

Leavitt averaged 8 wins as a coach

Or are there just a handful of miserable posters on this board that need to be downers no matter what the topic is? Some of you need to go get a girlfriend/boyfriend or a hobby at least.

Nobody wants USF to recruit badly stow that bad faith argument like luggage....

People are just pointing out some here look pretty **** silly freaking out when we are right in the normal range for how we've recruited since the demotion to the kids table known as the G5.   Those same people ignore things like the nose dive we took after the first 7 games, the state of the roster and that this class was always going to be around 18-20 kids, the fact that we don't have a football only facility like many of our conference mates and teams in the G5, and many other real factors.  Even with all those negatives we are right in the same range we have been since the AAC became our home. If anybody needs to get themselves squared away its the people freaking out about this class for a number of delusional reasons....

You're not demanding enough excellence or demanding it hard enough.  I'm really foggy on how that whole things works

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
