Lets not be too dense here. Objectively,  there is lots of apathy to overcome, and I think that was implied in the OP. There is 0 reason to expect 10k for a young team coming off 10 win season... especially when that was their best year in the last 4. 5.5K is a good turnout at this point.

And for the record, 5.5k is more than half full, not half empty. But I guess that depends on how you look at it.

In all fairness, 5.5k was the announced attendance.  So, actually could have been less than half.
